My take on Kendrick’s halftime performance is going to be one of those things where I get killed for my take on something and then over the next week all of the podcasters are going to say exactly what I said and all of a sudden it’ll be a valid opinion 😂

Nobody complained about Dr. Dre, Snoop, Em, Mary J, 50 AND KENDRICK playing the hits in 2022. Why is it now “lame” if Kendrick played his hits this time? I respect his decision to not do it…he knew what the reaction would be and def stands on it. But I want to see more hip-hop acts get these opportunities and I don’t think this increased the chances that’ll happen.

More Kendrick thoughts now that I’ve argued with people in my comments… Isn’t there something to be said that the general public not enjoying the show could create more obstacles for hip-hop performers in the future? Hip-hop fans complain about not getting more mainstream recognition but if when we get an opportunity we intentionally alienate people then that doesn’t necessarily increase the odds of that happening
