@Juliest101 Imagine basing your view of private healthcare by researching one country. It can work, I’ve lived in a country where it does.

@markofagenius Have looked at private healthcare systems in other countries? Take the Netherlands for example. Works well, and I have first hand experience having lived there for 5 years

@bazzdgrogan @mista_a @AvaSantina It will help a small % of people get onto the property ladder, but will disadvantage the remaining renters as their rent will go up. Meaning they’ll have even less chance of buying a property. Labour are committing to 1.5m houses because there aren’t enough.

@DmytroMorykit @GillianDowning2 @oldbearchris @the_vp5 @AvaSantina The main reason people rent is because they can’t afford to buy. House hits the market at market rate, tenant can’t afford to buy. Tenant looks for new place to rent. Demand increases against less rental properties = rise in rent prices. Supply & demand

@bazzdgrogan @mista_a @AvaSantina Because no one can afford to buy, so they are renting. Demand massive out strips supply. So adding these properties to the market isn’t enough to dampen the prices.

@andrewhdonohoe @elEmmerson @mista_a @AvaSantina They can’t afford to buy though. House prices won’t come down.

@andrewhdonohoe @elEmmerson @mista_a @AvaSantina In simple terms yes. Not when there is a massive shortage of housing though. House prices stay high and rent gets higher.

@WBradaigh @Sarahjdublin And you can’t have a reasoned conversation / debate without resorting to insults. Says a lot about you.

@WBradaigh @Sarahjdublin Oh got it. She wants to add them to the list and then not boycott them then. Sounds odd to me.

@ColeFusionHQ @RupertLowe10 @ConcernedOfUK @reformparty_uk That is correct. I spent 2 weeks in hospital in Valencia. No translation service offered. I learnt the relevant Spanish pretty quickly.
