@PantherRich West Virginia. Vanderbilt. Texas Tech (last year and this year). If your position is that Pitt isn’t on the same level as those programs, then we just disagree. It can be done with the right coach. All these guys are coming from mid majors too.

@PantherRich There are plenty of coaches who have figured it out in 1-2 years. And there are plenty more who can. I acknowledge the reality that he’ll be the coach next year, but the excuses should not continue.

It’s shocking to think about all the close games Pitt lost. Who was making plays? LOU? Smith and Hepburn. CLEM? Hunter and Zackery. WF? Hildreth and Sallis. UNC? Davis and Trimble. Guards were supposed to be an advantage every night. They’ve been outplayed in every big game.
I think Pitt🏀planned to win with its backcourt. I think that was a good plan. As this season continues to unravel I think it’s become clear that its guards simply haven’t gotten it done. TBH that surprises me. Oh well, it is what it is 🤷🏽♂️

@JediMaster868 Yup. What’s going on with this team is really not deep. They’re built to win a certain way. Teams have figured it out and made life really hard on the guards. And the team isn’t built well enough to support those guards. They’re still fighting and they’ve been so close. Just sad.

@fireeverbody I have looked at the numbers and sadly he’s better than Suwinski or Palacios. It’s an upgrade. I’m not commending anything the front office does but given the circumstances this is a fine signing

@PantherRich Agree. Sadly, I’m not sure the Lowe/Leggett combo even works together. Perhaps with three shooters around them like you’re saying it would work though

Couldn’t agree more. At a certain point, it’s not a curse. It’s a theme of the coach’s tenure.

@BigGamePanther Given that his three best years all came after he didn’t get it, I’m not sure I’m following.
