Yesterday @MikeInNebraska adopted our daughter. I met him as a single mom and he didn’t think twice about always treating her as his own. We made it official and my heart couldn’t be happier!

My 9 year old 3rd grader asked me on the way to school today, “momma, why don’t elementary schools have security guards like the middle and high schools do?” Why does my baby even have to worry about this?
