@Aoa2574 Do you find that theology ever preached or taught by Jesus as recorded in any of the gospel narratives? Nope Do you find that theology preached by Peter or Paul in Acts? Nope Do you find that theology in the Apostles or Nicene Creed? Nope Enough said. It came 1500 yrs later

@Aoa2574 Calvin created a wrong theology about the cross that involved a need for justice and a debt to be paid. This was logical for Calvin as he was a lawyer by training. The cross was not a blood payment to satisfy God - that is a pagan view of the cross and God.

@Aoa2574 Inerrancy makes you defend the indefensible. I believe what Jesus said and that he is the perfect image of God. Either God looks just like Jesus or looks like some of the OT passages that wrongly describe him. I am fine with a messy Bible and love it anyway as I follow Jesus

@Aoa2574 Do you believe that God regretted making humanity and commits genocide by killing everyone on earth except one family because the Bible says so?

@Aoa2574 Which scripture do you believe is true? All of it? Do you believe that God commands the killing of infant babies and commands keeping virgin girls as sex slaves simply because that is what the Bible says?

@Aoa2574 I am not a Biblicist. I deeply respect scripture as I soured and useful for teachings, etc as Paul wrote. There are plenty of things however in the Bible that are not Christlike. Jesus did not send the Bible to guide us in truth - he sent His Holy Spirit.

@Aoa2574 Unbelievable. You are saying that because I am following the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus, I am dangerous. That sounds like the very Pharisee like religious leaders who demanded the crucifixion of Jesus.

@Aoa2574 That is something Jesus never taught or preached as recorded by the four gospel writers or Luke as he wrote Acts.

@Aoa2574 You believe that Jesus stopped speaking 2000 years ago? That is tragic and completely disregards his comments about sending the Holy Spirit inside of us.

@Aoa2574 Matthew’s depiction of the last supper is the only one of the four that mention forgiveness tied to blood. If none of the other accounts mention forgiveness, I will go with what Jesus actually said and taught.

@Aoa2574 Jesus blood was poured out due to the wrath and violence of humanity. At the cross, we see what a Jesus will endure and still completely love and forgive us.
