We think lower than expected crowds in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge have more to do with people avoiding its opening months due to fear of high crowds (ironic) than substantive quality. This is one of the best theme park lands in the world.
Goodnight from Tokyo Disneyland. We’ll start our coverage of the ‘Happiest Celebration’ later today, but for now here’s a sneak peak of the projections in World Bazaar.
BREAKING: Disney's DAS changes will be controversial, with legit complaints & bad faith outrage from abusers. However, we view this as positive news that will be great for the vast majority of rule-abiding guests at Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

! Impossible to put into words how meaningful WDW is for us; it changed the trajectory of our lives, best friendships have been made here & has given us a community to call home. A special day & place, but the people & relationships are the magic for us!
Heartbreaking piece all Walt Disney World fans should read to fully grasp the plight of Orlando's service industry workers. It's not a vague potentiality--things have been like this for a while. The Florida Project is nominally fictional.
NEW POST: After a few years of price increases and cutbacks, Walt Disney World is undoing damage by fixing what's wrong & bringing back what's missing. What they've done so far is a good start, but more is needed...
NEW POST: Fans focus on big cuts, but there are also missing magical moments that make every guest feel special & lost little things that are the heart of Walt Disney World. Here's our list of key 'big little' things that need to be brought back...
They thought they could cover up the Walt Disney World culinary scene scandal of the century and distract us by killing off Genie+. They thought wrong. We're on the case.
Every Fantasyland dark ride (except Peter Pan’s Flight) is a walk on and Mary Poppins is literally wandering around by herself in the hub. Looks like it’s going to be another quiet day at Disneyland!
Walt Disney World has revealed what the Cars rides are replacing, and it's going to devastate a lot of fans. Here are full details & concept art, plus our commentary about how Disney sometimes misses the forest for the trees--this being a prime example...
Tokyo Disney Resort’s monorail loop Hilton has one of the coolest Christmas train displays we’ve ever seen, complete with gondolas, balloons, a lighthouse, and more. Here’s a look at part of it.
Tangible fruits of the generous donations of Disney fans everywhere! Thanks again to everyone who has given or shared. You can still donate—help is still needed:
Just an illustrated reminder about weather at Walt Disney World this time of year: 10 minutes before this, the sky was blue and there were puffy (albeit menacing) clouds. Ten minutes after this, it was sunny out. 😂
BREAKING: Walt Disney World dropped bombshell news--Genie+ is being retired and replaced by a NEW line-skipping service with advance ride reservations. Here's the launch date & details, on-site vs. off-site timeframes, and much more...
We used to watch SpectroMagic every single night at Magic Kingdom, and always make a point of seeing Dreamlights at Tokyo Disneyland. So disappointing Walt Disney World has been without a night parade for a year and a half. Huge hole in the day.
Spent dozens of hours booking & rebooking Vacation Packages for the opening of Fantasy Springs and the day is finally here!
We don’t normally do this since it has premium pricing and unnecessary (to us) perks, but the “unlimited FastPass” ticket to Fantasy Springs was a must.
It’s impossible to articulate how amazing it was to meet Figment for the first time in so long. If you’re a Walt Disney World kid of the 80s/90s, you know. If not, you might wonder why so many weirdos waited 3-5 hours to meet a big purple dragon! 😂
Heads up: Disney has released a bunch more deeply-discounted rooms for January and February. Hearing reader reports of ~$140/night at AKL, ~$250 at Grand Floridian, and <$100 for Moderates. Worth checking out!
Fort Wilderness is such an unheralded gem. A ‘resort’ in the heart of Walt Disney World that feels worlds apart, with plenty of Vacation Kingdom of the World vibes, even if a lot has changed over the years.
We can understand why some people say "August is too early for Halloween," but after what feels like 13 consecutive months of summer in Florida, we say BRING IT ON.
