Been a head coach for over 30 years at D2 level and the biggest change I see is the amount of time kids spend in the gym working out. Be intentional with your workouts, not just going to the gym because others are.

There is a difference between trying hard and competing. You can play with effort, but you need to be very competitive to win.

2025 intentions for basketball players should involve taking game shots at game speed, being the best teammate possible, communicating on the floor offensively and defensively, and realizing that consistency is valued by your coaches.

Wanting to get extra work with a coach is phenomenal for your development, but remember how you compete and perform in a team practice determines whether or not you play when the popcorn is popping.

After watching 20 high school games since Santa Claus came, why are high school refs infatuated with having the players shirt tucked in and why do kids think they will get away with it?
