#GoHalos Shohei Ohtani finished with a 17-3 DIGS W-L record this year. He posted a 29% gem rate (80 or higher DIGS), adding two more scores of 79. His 105 on on June 22 was among the best scores in MLB this year. Amazing season on the mound.

Jeez. So @WakeBaseball now has 2 of the top 3 returning pitchers in D1, according to DIGS+. Chase Burns (153 DIGS+; #3 overall) joins Josh Hartle (160 DIGS+; #1 overall). Mason Molina ranks 2nd, & I don't believe he's announced where he's transferring too yet.
Chase Burns announced on Instagram that he has committed to Wake Forest. Burns and Josh Hartle at the top of the Deacs rotation is dynamic. Both project as first rounders next year.

I'm not a data scientist, but based on the numbers I've seen, crunched, & analyzed over the years, I'd argue that age vs. level is the single most important predictor of MLB success. Currently only 5 MiLB hitters have a YOUTH grade over 70. .
