The Kroenkes seem to have perfected the psychological game: investing enough in the team to compete, but never to fully complete the team to give it a chance to win major honors. This keeps the fans spending and attending games hoping to “win” something but that never comes.
I hope we fans can now separate manager issues and owner issues within Arsenal. Both Unai Emery and Mikel Arteta were clear about what players and profiles they needed to bring trophies. The owners never delivered. To them it’s about being “among” the best. Not the best.

Arsenal is the only top club in the world that has mastered the art of remaining (appearing) very competitive to keep its revenues up (from its die hard fans) but will never go the mile to win top honors in the name of keeping it “the Arsenal way”. Works every season!

@CarolRadull Aw come on Carol. You know expenses are always a factor of revenues. Compare the revenues and then the salaries. Even men players are all not paid the same: a player in Forest Green cannot compare to a player in Chelsea. Why do we have to make differences always about gender?

Got me thinking… If Arteta was successful in securing the services of Vlahovic/Sesko as he had wanted earlier, would he have signed Kai Havertz? If yes, where would he be playing him? And would he have been an automatic first 11?
The moment Arteta decided sign Havertz, was when his project fell apart. Signing a quality striker would've put them in a better position to win the League. Also Loaning Sterling tells me he's clueless on what he needs to make Arsenal title winners again.
