I think it's the freshest the game has felt in years. No Ascians, no Allgans, no more genocide commiting sadbois or Zenos randomly appearing every two seconds. Also we finally get to be an adventurer again for the first time since ARR

One of the weirdest takes I've seen about 6.1 is that the ARR changes dumbed down the dungeons - Yes they removed some pointless side paths, but in return they added actual mechanics to fights, and didn't rely on novelty fights in early dungeons that teach nothing

Honestly having the Werlyt writer as a MSQ writer is a good thing. Werlyt was dark and disturbing... but it was meant to be, it actually portrayed Valens, a war criminal, as a detestable man - handled far better than someone like Solus, I might add
we were doing so well being excited with Dawntrail as a community and now I have to deal with more doomers because the werlyt writer is involved as if ff14 writers were involved in one thing and one thing only.
