same comments from me privately & publicly for boutique stadia in Malaysia & Singapore since I first came here. JDT have gone that route (still too big !!), whilst Selangor have plans to.
Bizarrely there's a plethora of tight, small capacity boutique hockey stadia in Malaysia.
A lot of talk here about the need for boutique stadiums to improve the viewing (in stadium & on TV) experience & playing surface.
Interestingly, that's a path Saudi Arabia are going down now. Three new 12-13k stadiums for Al Shabab, Ettifaq and Al Fateh have opened this year.
