I am blessed with a great coaching staff that I get to work with and they have showed me what it takes. My son Dane Dorris is graduating from college this year with an Education degree and wants to Teach and Coach. He asked me what I would look for in a Teacher and Coach. So my answer is…. 1) Someone that is in it for the right reasons- mold young people 2) Someone that seeks out work rather than the opposite. 3) Someone that handles things before it gets to me. 4) Someone that does things before being asked. 5) Someone that has thick skin 6) Someone that listens to understand not respond. 7) Someone that has a sense of urgency. 8) Someone that speaks solutions not problems 9) Someone that wakes up with a positive mindset to attack the day. 10) Someone that will speak to others with an understanding of repercussions for all. Quick answer but I’m sure there are a lot of others.
