So, today, if you heat your home with heating oil you pay no carbon price. If you heat for home with natural gas, which is about 30% cleaner on an emissions per GJ basis, you're paying carbon taxes. Among other things, the regional distribution of this is unfair.
Conservative motion calling for three-year pause of the federal carbon tax on all forms of fossil fuels used for home heating, defeated by a vote of 135 in favour, 186 against . The BQ supported the Liberals in voting against the motion while the NDP voted in favour of it.
Can the RCMP spend less time tracking down single-shot shotguns, and more time tracking down the folks robbing houses in rural Alberta?
