@Karan_Sempai This is very much a possibility. It’s not even funny anymore. He’s already 25yr old something.

Wannabe Dictator of a patch smaller than Delhi, population half of Mumbai, mostly Chinese running authoritative regime for decades is not the best analyst for the country size of India. Yes India is so diverse, even Indians spend lifetime figuring it out. Most native brilliant politicians utterly fail. So LKY or any other arm-chair foreign leader unable to grasp it is not surprising. Also LKY hated Muslim Malaysians, gave out far more unsolicited remarks that often landed him in diplomatic trouble. Prejudicing against Malaysians by propping Chinese ethnics was his politics. Reason why Singapore has so many CCP sympathisers till date. But it is a taboo to speak about it openly. And we can compare China with India if only Commies had not butchered that ancient society. It’s tragic what world lost after Communist takeover.
@parag_c_mehta I don't think this is an India vs Singapore conversation, more India vs China. While India has many religious unifying ties historically, apart from the ad hominem "not a real country", LKY was trying to speak to the diversity of language, culture, ethnicity and religion.

Yeah that historical love for Beijing is the reason Singapore is the place where you can find largest number of staunch CCP sympathisers outside China.
"No. Do not talk about India and China in the same breath. India is not a real country. Instead, it is 32 separate nations that happen to be arrayed along the British rail line." — Lee Kuan Yew, founding father of Singapore

@socialist90 @HealthWarrior7 Divisive Regional chauvinists pass off as leader these days. Their idea of development is snatching from neighbor and making villain out of countrymen speaking some different language.

Maharashtra and Gujarat should ideally sign strategic agreement for 20-30yrs, jointly bid for large projects, investment, lower the cost of debt, spin out venture funds, Banks, specialised universities, form equitable development goals, reverse market leverage. Expand the pie.
In a stable econopolitical climate, Gujarat and Maharashtra together will be absolute beasts of Modern India. Can overwhelm anyone on this side of the hemisphere. We are talking of economic powerhouse with 2000Kms coastline. So far we’ve barely scratched that potential.

@HealthWarrior7 @Sagar_MH10 Shunning BJD was a good step. People are hardworking, need investment. Let’s see.

@INCIndia Yes power should be concentrated to the Prime Minister Office. It is the highest and ultimate decisioning desk of this country. Something that you and your sycophants never provided to Dr. Manmohan Singh. You loved undermining it by giving power to illegitimate bodies like NAC.

@priyankac19 Not that I don’t deny lack of development in Maharashtra, let’s not forget that in 2019 election Shivsena was in alliance with BJP; which would any day have its Deputy CM for sure in SS-BJP govt had it seen the day. Economic indicators don’t shift so quickly. Those are facts.

@HealthWarrior7 @Sagar_MH10 True. Maharashtra has in fact very good mix of manufacturing and service sector.

@HealthWarrior7 @Sagar_MH10 Also plenty foreign remittance. State is blessed with so many golden factors. Although relying more on service sector won’t be good in long term.
