Yesterday, I oversaw debate on H.R. 27 the HALT Fentanyl Act. With over 100,000 fentanyl related deaths a year in this country, we must be doing everything we can to curb the flow of this lethal substance. I will be voting YES today to classify fentanyl-related substances into schedule I under the Controlled Substances Act.

Today I oversaw debate on the Laken Riley Act where Democrats unashamedly turned what should be bipartisan legislation to protect our American citizens into a platform to whine about President Trump. This is classless and dishonoring to Laken and her family.
