Our Year 7s worked in teams to solve fraction equations; they created pictoral representations of the problems on our whiteboard tables then shared their answers with their teammates who used their IT skills to beat our fraction games! @derbyhighbury #interactivemaths #teamwork

Year 10 students today refreshed their knowledge of angles in parallel lines before applying this knowledge to bearings problems. It was great to see students collaborating to solve difficult questions and using the whiteboards in their various forms. @derbyhighbury #teamwork

KS3 Maths Club were feeling competitive this afternoon as they played a round of the pirate game, with students taking turns to lead activities. The club meet every Wednesday after school and always welcome new players! @derbyhighbury #enrichment #healthycompetition

We always encourage students to lead learning. Today we had students from Year 9 demonstrate the use of bar models and Venn diagrams to find highest common factors. Our Year 7s came up with creative pictoral representations of directed number. @derbyhighbury #studentledlearning
