@oldandrewuk Doing online training units and reading 30 policies ‘as and when’ but before the end of September is too much and not effective. When I started teaching this was all done in staff training sessions together.

@sage_stage Whilst I understand the honest truth about the job makes it difficult to recruit, it is very important that new teachers understand the demands. If we sugar coat it, new teachers will only leave early in their careers after a lot of time and money has gone into their training.

@jcgallaher @teachwellall I didn’t need to tell my children not to do it. They saw my husbands work life balance and the fact he is paid twice as much for half the hours and said no thank you!!!

@jcgallaher @teachwellall Because we love the teaching and the children but the hours, level of responsibility, lack of respect from parents and other professionals, diminishing parenting skills and engagement from some with ever increasing unreasonable expectations from others make the job untenable.
