The barriers in the West Dennis public parking lot have been removed. Vehicles may now drive the entire length of the lot down to the Bass River.

At this time officers from the Dennis Police Department/officers from neighboring departments are clearing a large gathering at Mayflower Beach. Once the beach is cleared it will be closed for the remainder of the evening. We ask that that everyone, but residents, avoid the area.
Mother Nature threw a small wrench in our plans to open for the season today! ☔️ We will keep you updated on when we are able to open for the 2021 season!
Please be advised that today is the annual Dennis Road Race starting at 10AM. There will be road closures along the blue route so plan travel accordingly.
West Dennis beach has been closed for a police investigation. The non-resident parking lot (large lot) is closed. Please do not cross any police barricades. We will provide further details when possible.
Out of consideration for public safety and anticipation of strong winds, high seas, and rain accompanying Hurricane Lee, all Town of Dennis beaches will be closed and beach gates locked starting tonight 9/15 at 6PM for at least the duration of the storm event.
The lower parking lot at Mayflower Beach is closed until late Spring while the new bathroom & snack bar building is under construction. The upper lot will close later as the need arises.

Please be advised that the West Dennis public parking lot is blocked off with barriers just beyond the chair 8 bathrooms due to nesting piping plovers. At this time, we do not have a date for when the barriers will be removed.
