It’s disappointing that after all the losses the party has experienced over the last decade, there are still voices calling for extremism and elitism to continue. In the upcoming party leadership elections, we need to return to a moderate “big tent” approach with no litmus tests.

The problem is not just the 2024 loss. It's the losing in red and purple states that has been going on for a decade. Reject elitism and extremism - especially on abortion - and embrace the "big tent" approach.

Abortion measures won largely in deep red states. When they won outside of that area, success was based on huge amounts of outside money flooding the state with misrepresentations and outright lies. Unlimited abortion is the wrong way for Democrats for move forward.
