@baileymarkham I believe they did the right thing doing Peyton Place as a half hour show. you can watch it go away and think about what you watched and then come back and see new new developments. currently I'm at episode 396 I like Martin Peyton and his loyal chauffeur and Eddie Jacks

@noirgal17 as a fellow of admirer of Dan Duryea please don't do that. looks like you're gonna have to be an archaeologist like us. I guess 1997 to 2001 was a magical time as the current WeTV channel looks like it's for people who like law and order.

@baileymarkham @noirgal17 thank you for posting this In a perfect world it should be very easy for us to find 1950's 1960's programs and watch them again. I also like to broadcast from the computer to the TV.

@noirgal17 Shout Factory in the early 2000s released 4 volumes and then stopped. Come along with us and watch the episodes on internet archive. Hanging out with you got me in to Dan Duryea so I'm interested in his 66 episodes. I watched 3 episodes Peyton Place so far and I am hooked.

@noirgal17 your mother was protecting you from the novel that was very scandalous in the 1956. I guess she didn't realize that being on television it would be very tame just like the scripts of other adult dramas of the day. She wanted to keep you from corrupting your moral values

@TinseltownTwins you can see The Kite in the 1948 U.K. film Quartet I first saw Quartet on PBS in the 1980's and like that W. Somerset Maugham introduce his stories about people that we could know.

@noirgal17 For all you kiddies that didn't know jack Webb was married to Julie London and lost her to Bobby Troup. my theory is the Joe Friday that we saw on TV was actually what Jack Webb was like at home
