🚀| Serial entrepreneur | Proud Black disabled GenZ female executive breaking glass ceilings ✨| In my earthy soft girl era
Meet your newest Director of Product Management. I’m Black, a woman, and disabled. I really am breaking glass ceilings out here ✨It’s just the beginning.
@ChinaaLynn920
@REDSEASHAWTY
I also think that’s why the industry supported Tory over Megan even though they know he shot her. He was writing songs for the artists. Glad Meg got Justice in the end.
Don’t call me inspiring. It’s so cliche. As a Black woman, I’m not strong. It’s also cliche. I’m just an ambitious person out here achieving so much at 28 years old 🫶🏾✨
I’m hiring for 2 roles soon: Sr. Product Manager & Customer Success. So much to think about in terms of recruiting strategy, personality fit, and how I want to structure the interview process. It should be fun though ✨
Still caught off guard that I was featured on the Instagram page of a popular women’s magazine called Her Network ✨ I found out a month later. You never know who is watching.
First day of work is going well! ✨ I do this to show disabled professionals, Black women, baby millennials, and Gen Z can be leaders, managers, directors, or VPs in the workplace. Corporate leadership can be diverse.
Did a thing and bought a home at 27! I always knew I was going to buy a home, but being in tech accelerated things faster. I’m so thankful.

I just hope the student with the learning disability sues Mary and MTBF. What she did was explicitly illegal and goes against the ADA law set in place. We should not condone ableism in tech.
@JoshuaOgundu
Lmao this pic is making me realize that maybe I need to attend my company's events, so people will see that there are Black women working there. But again, I may not even wanna go just because. I appreciate that they are fighting for diversity and representation though
As a product manager, I find myself monitoring the bandwidth of my team members & eliminating certain tasks they may not have time for. Their well being comes first. You shouldn’t have to overwork to build a great product.

Really Her by
@BIABIA
got me through the last half of 2023. It was the worst year of my life but her music reminded me I’m really out here doing things, breaking barriers, and making moves as possibly the first Black disabled product executive at 28 years old ✨ Stream it!
@angie_chacha
@Sparkle_que
I believe he’s also looking out for his younger sisters as well. So he may appear “all cool” with Diddy but best believe he also suspected. Just played the game to look out for the girls as well.
The best question you can ask as a candidate in job interviews is “what’s the 90 day plan?” ✨ It tells the interviewer you mean business. It’s a question that has moved me to the final rounds many times as a candidate. As a hiring manager, it’s my favorite question.
@ArlanWasHere
It reminds me of the time where I flew first class b/c my seat was double-booked by error, some white family kept questioning me why I was sitting in my seat for the next 30 minutes. I just ignored them. As I become more successful, expect me to fly first class just because.
I’m finding friends for each side of me. Artsy friends, tech friends, day one homies, healthcare friends, biz friends, and childhood friends ✨ I love it for me.
@notdanilu
A sign we need proper journalism is that I remember Biden Admin hosted an event for Black “journalists” at the White House, and it was just people like the Shaderoom founder, Jason Lee and other Black gossip content creators. That woke me up.

I’m living the life my dad prophesied for me. He said I was going to:
✅ Own a home
✅ Have my own home office
✅ Become an executive
I achieved it all at 28 years old. He imagined I achieved it by 35.
The only milestone left pending is:
✅ Become a full time founder
Today marks my first month as Director of Product Management at my new workplace!
Here are key lessons learned inheriting a team:
✨ Invest time in understanding team dynamics and individual strengths
✨ Identify and streamline inefficient processes
✨ Cultivate trust and
HR just sent out an email to the entire org about my team’s restructuring of 5, including the 2 promotions I made and the 2 roles we’re hiring for 🥹 Damn, I have been busy since joining in January. Like I said, I eat strategy for breakfast ✨
The legendary and iconic

Miley did it quite well when she got her Grammy from Mariah Carey. She did a beautiful analogy referencing both Mariah’s Butterfly and her own song Flowers. It was masterfully done in honoring Mariah who opened doors for her.
#GRAMMYs
not trying to be hater but being handed a Grammy by Celine Dion in her very triumphant first public appearance in a long time and barely making eye contact insane
35mm is now described as “Etsy meets Fiverr.” It’s a marketplace 4 indie sellers to set up their AR eComm shops while getting access to freelancers “next door” for biz needs like logo designs. Special thanks to

I developed product sense quite early in high school by reading Forbes. It highlighted the heyday of Silicon Valley ✨ I kept a subscription to see which startups and tech were blowing up or getting funded.
In college, I started applying to work for startups. In one summer, I
What a ride! I got to speak on a panel for a program I did 2 years ago called Level Up when I was an individual contributor. I started as an attendee and now as a panelist talking about my experience as a people manager. Full circle moments are priceless ✨
Leadership isn’t new to me ✨ My first experience was in a toxic workplace last year. Became Head of Product at 27 after my boss’s sudden exit. I was chosen over 2 other product managers due to being a high performer.
My management mantra? Balancing goal achievement with the
I really went from being an unseen individual contributor to being a Director invited to board meetings where I’m the youngest in the room ✨ God don’t play about me
Woot woot! ✨ The job postings for both roles are finally live. It’s hybrid and we prefer DMV candidates. But open to remote after 90 days. Please apply here:

Upgrading my work wardrobe as an exec is realizing I can't show up to the office in my hoodie every day 😂 Being a woman in management means steering clear of the tech bro look. It's a bit of a double standard, but hey, that's just how the game goes ✨
At the end of the day, I will always be in my earthy soft girl era as I climb up the ladder career wise ✨
I’m prioritizing serenity, self care & me first outside the office. I have had to be of Black excellence x1000 just to reach where I currently am at 28 years old.
Crafting my leadership career with a vision – to be remembered as someone who exceptionally led teams to triumph, fortified biz growth, and made a lasting impact on both the organization & individuals ✨ Success, profitability & personal growth are at the core of our journey.
I was really that teenage girl who had a subscription to Forbes instead of Seventeen magazine. I also read a lot of business books in high school. Been built different and it’s paying off in dividends ✨
@MasinElije
His legacy and reputation is ruined forever. Kim’s spirit and Cassie accomplished their goal. I don’t think it’s the end though. It’s just the beginning.

Capitalizing on your strengths is key to monetizing your talents. Align your skills with well-paying professions, and you’ll be on the path to success.
Minorities rising through the ranks of their careers aren't just lucky—they're incredibly strategic, shrewd, and always five steps ahead ✨ Don't play me; I'll consistently outsmart you every time.
@kiskkelly
Appreciate it! Been in the product game since I was 19 years old in college. So best believe I’m in because of my qualifications ✨ However, I can’t deny the ableism and discrimination that happens to other disabled professionals. So just trying to uplift them as well :)
I can’t date anyone who is uncomfortable with my success ✨ I had to learn the hard way that their discomfort isn’t with me. It’s with themselves. Since then, my preferences have shifted. Be on my level or be more successful, so there’s room for mutual growth 💅🏾💕
Omg yes! In college, I launched 3 startups while nabbing my first product role with a TechCrunch-featured startup at 19. Product management wasn’t my initial plan, so I pursued these ventures on the side for $. Little did I know, they paved the way for my 6-figure PM role at 25!
If you're looking to build your skills and add to your resume, you should take matters in your own hands and pursue your own projects.
I encourage you to check out entrepreneurship. An excellent way to leverage your skills and add to them, build a rep and make some money.
Got a laugh from someone asking how I became a Director with zero experience 😂 Can one reach the Director level without experience? In the game for years, paid my dues, and now finally reaping the rewards✨
Made 90 days in my new role. It has been an exhilarating journey filled with challenges & rewards. I got to overhaul my team, address inefficiencies & guide them towards greater success. I’m trailblazing how product management is done in the association space and it’s exciting ✨
Just found out from Jessie Woo's interview with Aaliyah that there was a Black couple, Erica and Enoch, who got engaged in the pods but producers opted not to show them. Why are they so anti-Black love?

Every time I pass by the Social Security office, I’m reminded of the odds I have beaten ✨ High school tried to ingrain in me that I only had 2 options: Schedule A gov job or living on SSI.
Girl, I ended up in Corporate America making 6 figures after grad school. I’m a G.

Congratulations, Josh!!! 🎉 Excited to watch you be a founder in action. The app sounds dope! Make sure you add in a text to autogenerated speech feature for deaf/hard of hearing/mute people. Also, include autogenerated captioning for those who didn’t understand the audio 🔥

Nope. The first season had writers with Christian Keyes being like the lead writer and had Kim Fields directing most episodes. For the second season, Tyler demoted Christian and took over the writing and also didn’t bring back Kim. He directed all the episodes lol.
Congratulations! 🔥 Posts like this is why I’m proud to be a part of Black Women in Tech &

. Community is everything. Seeing people who look like you succeed is everything. I get motivated each day.
Just had a great chat with the recruiter about resume gaps ✨ As a hiring manager, I believe gaps shouldn’t define candidates’ abilities. We’re all human, and I focus on skills and potential, not timelines.
In the future, I'll disappear from social media, resurfacing through PR and articles on my ventures. Embracing privacy, I'll be incognito✨ Sharing my journey now to empower disabled professionals and Black women—rethink corporate leadership, unlock potential, and achieve more.
I struggled with my breakup last year. So it’s good to reach the stage of thanking God it didn’t work out because I do deserve better ✨ If you can’t hold me down during the tough times, you don’t get to celebrate with me in the good ones.
Thrilled to announce I have received and signed my job offer to work for

That’s what I did for my leadership interviews! I primarily interviewed for Head of Product & Director of Product roles. It was not a letter per se. More like a proposal detailing my observations on their product line, pain points, & solutions. It helped move me to the final
I’m appalled that junior devs are having a hard time getting hired when the dev job market is flourishing with many well paid opportunities. Please stop seeking senior devs especially if they are already hired. Give unemployed junior devs a chance!

The higher ups approved all the changes I proposed with the exception of one ✨ My team is going to be so happy. Only three weeks in and already shaking things up hehe. This executive is working!
Working overtime today as I prepare for a crucial change management presentation tomorrow. The proposed changes will significantly benefit my team, and securing buy-in from the higher-ups is essential ✨ Let’s get it.
I gained an influx of followers yesterday. Nice to meet you all 👋🏾 ✨ I’m Delaney, I tweet about product, being an executive and my experience in Corporate America & tech as a Black disabled woman in her 20s.
Happy Women’s Month, btw! 🎉
✨ Receiving these Board meetings emails and invites feels like damn, I’m the youngest in those rooms as well.
✨My team told me they are so excited the Universe sent me to them and immensely appreciates my arrival.
✨ My association membership for executives has also arrived
The biggest strength of what has gotten me this far in terms of my product career is execution. I live to execute ✨ I enjoy putting together the moving parts of execution. It requires flawless strategy, precision, and coordination.

✨ Became Head of Product at 27; managed & supported 13 people in a toxic work environment

✨ Traveled to Bimini

The COO came up to me and she said she was very happy to see that my team is settling very well to my new structure and overhaul ✨ Like I said, I eat strategy for breakfast. Leadership chose me; product chose me.

I saw that Black tech workers are at 7% now. Won’t be surprised if you played a huge part in that. Let’s keep increasing the numbers for Black tech employment! 🔥
I envision four phases of my career long term:
✨ Product Executive: Leading teams to build successful products and drive business growth.
✨ Chief Executive Officer: Transitioning from CPO to CEO of a major company, taking the reins.
✨ Founder: Launching startups, selling
Just hopped off the phone with a founder who told me i was the first VC he met with this week that actually smiled & got to know him 🥺 This is crazy to me!!!!
VCs are investing in founders at the end of the day, and I think it's important to show that you care 💘
I really got laid off on Valentine’s Day but I landed a new job paying me more in 2 short weeks. It’s my first Senior role at 27. I’m officially a Senior Product Manager. Feeling blessed and yes, I’m the shit.
#BlackTechTwitter
Every time I schedule meetings with my team, I like to add a touch of excitement by adding “Hello!” or an exclamation point to the title of my invites to convey a welcoming vibe ✨ Work should be light and fun when it can be.
Job seekers, make sure your resume is clean and concise for the ATS to read.
It's great to have a creatively designed resume. However, if the resume can't be read by the ATS, it won't be seen by the recruiter.
