@simon_schama The slide into authoritarianism and censorship can be subtle. Israel is in the grip of ultra-nationalists/extremists who are at present in the ascendency. Both in Israel, and also in the USA, too many silent voices are allowing anarchy to prevail. Congress silent, Knesset silent.
