It started with a hustle. I was just a teenager in Nigeria, selling hacked Netflix and MovieBox to scrape together some cash. It wasn’t the best , but it worked. I never imagined that a chance encounter with a stranger would change the course of my life. It was a hot afternoon, the kind that made the air feel heavy. I stood by the roadside, counting crumpled Naira notes, when a man in a weathered suit approached me. His face was stern, his eyes sharp. “Ever heard of cryptocurrency?” he asked. I hadn’t. He smiled, took my address, and sent me 100 TRX. Back then, TRX was worth 500 Naira. But my phone couldn’t support a TRON wallet, and I was left staring at what felt like untouchable treasure. I met up with Adebisi (also known as Jay Cryptos) @Jaycryptos_ and Adedayo (Fabulous)@Ciph3r01 who helped me download the Klever app on their phone, and that’s where our cryptocurrency journey truly began, with just 500 Naira. We pooled every Naira we had and invested in BOT (Bank of Tron). It felt like a golden ticket,well it wasn’t. The project crashed, and with it, our dreams. I learned the hard way why people said, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” Broke and battered, I took a job with Best TV Ads, earning a meager 500 to 1000 Naira a day. Most of it went to snacks and survival. We were still in secondary school, but deep down, I knew I wanted more. After graduating secondary school, I met Pino(@Pinocchio406 ), who introduced me to Ossy . Together, they taught me what decentralized finance was. It was like learning a new language, so many foreign terms but I pushed through . Then came a lifeline, a scholarship to PMoney Academy @pmoneyacademy I spent a year trading on a demo account on BingX, failing more often than succeeding. But with every mistake, I grew. One day, I reached out to Mr. Bayo,a figure in crypto, asking for funds to advance my learning. He never responded. The silence stung, but it didn’t stop me. Instead, I found another scholarship, this time through Ohms DeFi 2.0 At Ohms, everything changed. I threw myself into testnets, swaps, and liquidity pools, connecting with visionaries like Nazim(@CryptoNaz_eth ), Parado(@TinubuToluwani_ ),Palopool, and the Pueri boys crew.They were my crypto family I became a bridge for others, onboarding 85% of my male coursemates. The spark in their eyes mirrored my own when I first discovered crypto. As 2024 ended, opportunities began to flood in. I entered contests, provided liquidity, and started gaining recognition in crypto. Yet, every success came with a shadow of doubt. What if another crash wiped everything out? Today, I’m a mentor, a builder, and a dreamer. The journey has been anything but easy,full of losses, heartbreak, and sleepless nights. But every stumble taught me something. As I look to the future, I know there’s more to conquer. But for now, I’m grateful For the lessons, the people, and the resilience that brought me here. To anyone reading this, know this Don’t wait for the perfect moment to begin. Take a moment, make it perfect, and start now. And who knows? Maybe one day, your story will inspire someone else to take theirs.
