Not sure if I'll join Mastodon. Definitely not starting a newsletter on substack any time soon either. I am deeply distrustful of 3rd party content platforms now. Especially when it's been a hobby/labour of love without the pressure to monetise.

Devastated to hear this. I had the opportunity to work with him while at Cricinfo. I learned so much from him and his work. We even worked on a F1 product (the now discontinued and he had a real knack for modelling sports data. Grateful our paths crossed.

Last night Travis Bavesi died. Most of you will not have heard of him but he was the genius behind Cricinfo's StatsGuru and so much more. If you do nothing else today, read this. Our thoughts are with his wife, son and many, many friends
