Some Godzilla movies are expressly political movies, some are dumb studio nonsense, and some are straight up children’s movies with simplistic morals.
Pretending like they’re all these complicated political pieces is absurd.

The thing I find interesting about Dredd 2012 is that it portrays a society where every system of power including the Judges has been corrupted to a destructive point and Judge Dredd is the only pillar that hasn’t been corrupted.
He is unironically a hero in the movie.

James Mangold has proven himself to be a good director in the past but I don’t think he can save this mess and it’s going to permanently damage his career and reputation.
This movie should never have been made.

Thanks for asking! Because Hughie’s craving was selfish, to make himself feel macho & save a woman who doesn’t want saving. Kimiko’s is a selfless sacrifice that’s a burden to her, to protect a man who welcomes the protection. Big difference.

As someone who avidly uses Letterboxd this is disappointing.
The Letterboxd mods have removed certain reviews for movies but nothing this massive where literally all the reviews (positive and especially negative) have been removed.

I feel like Garth Ennis gets the most bad faith criticism of any comic writer I can think of mostly because people read a couple issues of The Boys and think he’s only capable of writing The Boys.
I see a disturbing amount of people trying to rehabilitate Doug Walker because he recently said some things they agree with, to which I say not so fast.
Last time I went to Waffle House there were only two people working, a waitress and the cook and they were arguing the entire time. Eventually he just started burning things while they argued and she just straight up quit her job in the middle of it.
The food was delicious.

Next movie ends with the bad guys trying to figure out how to keep control of all the world’s most powerful people and one of them brings out a folder…
The main bad guy picks it up and it says In big bold letters “The Epstein Initiative”
Alan Moore also spent a good amount of his life criticizing the life of Ditko and his politics including bad mouthing him in the documentary “In search of Steve Ditko”
And also partially basing Rorschach on Ditko’s character Mr A.
"During Spider-Man's 30th anniversary year, Steve Ditko was living in reduced circumstances. All these people, they had their work stolen from them. So no, I'm not a big fan of Stan Lee, I'm a big fan of the people who worked with him."

I used to collects these from the library
all the ones from the 7th generation were amazing time capsules.
They used to put a lot of effort into them even if most of the reviews were shills.
