As a black woman, yes I take offense to Eva Longoria’s remark. I’m tired of people trying to “humble” black women. We can’t be too proud. We can’t be too loud. We can’t demand deserved respect and recognition.
This country is scared of black women. And they should be.
Jacky Oh’s untimely death is a reminder….tomorrow is not promised. You may be talking to someone for the last time, move with intention and appreciation.
I lost my mother but I absolutely love Mother’s Day. I love seeing my friends who are moms getting spoiled. I love seeing people spoil their mom.
Moms are special.
When you know who you are and what you bring to the table and people choose to not rock with you, keep it moving. Don’t waste time “explaining” yourself.
I feel so bad for those victims and the people living in that area of the Raleigh shooting yesterday. My friends and I love to walk on trails and I go walking with my dog everyday and the fact that it’s no longer a safe, relaxing activity is scary.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Coach Cooley this morning. He served as an inspiration to many throughout his life & we are all better for having known him. Our thoughts go out to his family, friends, & all of the people he impacted.

This is how villain stories are started! The price doesn’t have to match but the energy is still required. We are living in a very selfish time.
It’s crazy how white people’s livelihood is never debated. Black people breathe the same air, pay taxes, work alongside and deserve the same damn peace. All we received from that debate was a threat.
So the CEO of Target wrote a statement and basically said he can rebuild the store ppl care so much about and stands by the protestors....so what was y'all saying?
