The City of DeLand will be making sand and bags available from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.
The distribution site will be in the parking lot south of Melching Field at the corner of South Woodland and Hubbard Avenue.

Please be advised the National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning due to elevated fire weather concerns.
Residents are asked to refrain from ANY type of outdoor burning today.

will not issue burn authorizations for 5/3/2023 due to significant weather factors. We are asking all residents to refrain from ANY TYPE OF BURNING today. Remember, if your fire escapes, you may be liable for costs of suppression and damage to property of others.

VEHICLE FIRE: This morning, the crew from E81 responded to a vehicle fire on the city’s Southwest side. An abandoned U-Haul was located in the woods off Vermont Avenue. Crews were able to extinguish the fire. No injuries.
