We have just been amazed by the range of papers submitted to our LCC conference, should be fun and informative. As a result of my HMF grant loads of new research to share.

@studio100a @fslconsult @otboae I recall someone using a drone to do photogrammetry of William Mitchell's concrete mural on the facade of the Turnpike in Leigh so all is possible :-)

My first LCC 'Patronage of the Arts' HMI grant visit of course is to William Mitchell's Marble Arch Station subway mural. This was one of five 'London Life' works completed over the Hyde Park/Marble Arch new road system in 1962, images are available on the London Picture Archive.

@fslconsult @otboae Interesting article, is 'Man of Fire' listed? Stoke is an intriguing place I first visited in the 1980s when I was studying Design Ceramics, and fascinated by the Twyfords factory in pondering how you could cast on such a large scale

@otboae @fslconsult Yes an amazing artist and a lovely work. Gorilla was an early animal commission and first destined for a LCC housing estate rather than Crystal Palace Park, so strange how commissions can turn out.

Great to attend the @HOLTofLondon re- unveiling of Robert Clatworthy's 'Bull' at Alton Estate. Ideal opportunity also to visit Lynn Chadwick's 'The Watchers' overlooking the site.
