A Peterhead fishing boat has rescued a lost owl in the north sea after they discovered the bird being attacked by gulls.
The crew of the Benarkle nursed the long-eared owl back to health with chopped up steak.

has developed the ability to test and verify coronavirus cases ‘in house’ in Aberdeen. This means samples don’t have to be sent to centres in Glasgow & Edinburgh, taking days. It can now be done within 7 hours. More coming up on Reporting Scotland at 1830
The University of Aberdeen has installed a plaque at the Powis Gateway on campus acknowledging the links to slavery in its funding.
The Uni say the plaque is part of a "commitment to reveal and address the legacy of historic slavery and colonialism".

Former Peterhead Prison officer Jackie Stuart awarded the British Empire Medal.
Jackie was taken hostage for five days during the Peterhead Prison riot in 1987, before being rescued by the SAS.
He later returned to become a museum guide there.

All five crew on board were brought back safely after the lifeboat was able to tow it back to safety.
