A Peterhead fishing boat has rescued a lost owl in the north sea after they discovered the bird being attacked by gulls.
The crew of the Benarkle nursed the long-eared owl back to health with chopped up steak.
It's now recuperating at the Huntly Falconry Centre.

has rescued a baby otter who was found wandering down a busy street in Inverurie. They believe it was separated from its mum during recent floods. It's now being looked after by staff until it's old enough to be returned to the wild.

Former Peterhead Prison officer Jackie Stuart awarded the British Empire Medal.
Jackie was taken hostage for five days during the Peterhead Prison riot in 1987, before being rescued by the SAS.
He later returned to become a museum guide there.

All five crew on board were brought back safely after the lifeboat was able to tow it back to safety.
