PLAYING IN COLLEGE AT ANY LEVEL IS A BLESSING!
Shoutout to all the Coaches who coach for the right reasons: Impact Lives, Mentor Young Adults, and Teach Life Lessons through the game. Too many coaches are doing it for personal benefits and personal goals. Be Selfless not Selfish!
As a father I don’t take for granted having a son get a FREE Education playing college 🏀. It was not given to him. Worked 14 years for this opportunity and earned it. Wanna know what I got out of this… a SMILE on his face knowing he’s happy and that means everything to me. 🙏🏽
Dad always says to make them play basketball to my level, makes them better, because when I play someone better than me (Douglas Center) that's what they expect from me... 🏀🦒💯
“Gifted players”play so hard they embarrass their teammates into playing harder than they’ve ever played! Championship Teams always have a guy or a gal like that in the starting five. I always start my best defender and best rebounder. Don’t always start the best shooter!
Being a student-athlete isn’t easy
Your practices won’t be easy
Your workouts won’t be easy
Conditioning won’t be easy
4am will not be easy
Competing for PT won’t be easy
Facing the pressure won’t be easy
Managing academics won’t be easy
But enjoying the rewards will be!
Taking on all competitors. Principal G 2026 Jacob Pleyer (MI) will be participating in the Made Hoops Finale July 20th-24th in Augusta, Georgia. An inch or two compounded his chiseled frame allowing effortless dunking. Watch him on Bates Fundamentals EYBL.
As you watch the NBA draft tonight ask yourself am I putting in the work that I need to put in to possibly get there one day 🤷🏽♂️. Are you putting in the work to get better and help your high school team 🤷🏽♂️ are you putting in the work to play college basketball 🤷🏽♂️.U NO
Coach Howard
Definitely, Especially if you got your own equipment, It's a shame some people have to go out of town to play basketball, And then sit behind The Hometown heroes, that are less .....😂🤣🤣🦒🏀💯
Keegan murray 22 year old rookie and he only played 2 years of college ball. Cody martin gets paid yesterday and he was a 5th year senior at Nevada. I promise it's okay parents if your child not NBA ready at 17 or after 1 year of college.
1) Most college freshman aren't physically mature enough to play in the SWAC!!!
2) There are no rules that say college coaches are obligated to recruit high school kids. A number of high school kids are getting offers daily, so it's not the coaches, trust me.

When you line up against a player that has nothing to lose and everything to gain ur in trouble! Mommy & Daddy can’t save you! I know kids look good in their EYBL, UAA & 3SSB gear but when those kids go home many of them don’t have food in the fridge. Guess who becomes food. YOU!
We get a lot of ?'s about what recruits can do in 9th/10th grade to improve their chances of playing in college.
Outside of working on their game, the answer is simple:
Focus on academics.
Nothing limits future options like bad grades.
When recruiters / talent evaluators write about the same players over and over again, who is that benefiting? I thought you all were supposed to find unknown kids?
That's it,right there! Or just the wrong people make you feel and think it's you when they have something else up their sleeve, that they're trying to accomplish, 🏀🦒💯
Recruits: Your success in college is primarily determined by fit. If you’re not at the right place, you won’t maximize your abilities.
How to determine “fit,” a thread 🧵:
When writing emails to coaches...
Make sure to do your research and avoid asking simple questions that can be solved w/ a google search.
The more you've figured out on your own - the more the coach knows you're interested in the school.

PLAYERS: There is no such thing as a neutral team member. You are either making the culture better or you are not. Your actions and attitudes help move the team forward or keeps the team from progressing as it should!!
I wish players these days had at least half the passion I have for the sport of basketball! Most of this generation is too cool, social media driven and lazy. They want something for nothing..🙏🏾
There are 7 primary college athletic associations/independent conferences throughout the country
Many have no idea of these different associations & only know about the NCAA
Below is a thread of every governing body of college basketball & divisions within each

2026 Tyran Stokes separated himself amongst a talented group of USAB prospects due to his unique combo of motor, athletic pop, and skill.

This “craftiness” is about to turn into over $110 MILLION. It’s ok to be a FAN of the exciting/electric players. But STUDY the others who are productive and have the same body types as you.
