No, again, you need to learn what normal people are like. I read a lot of scholars from various religious traditions, and they all quote from each other. I was recently reading a Catholic scholar on the Temple in Gospels, and he cited several Jewish scholars. Again, this is normal. I recommend reading more Catholic scholars.

@justanother556 No, again that is ridiculously silly. It’s actually a normal thing that normal people do all the time. I am not a Democrat, but when a Democrat says something correct, I am happy acknowledge it. This is normal behavior, and complaining about it is very bizarre and silly.

@justanother556 No, that's ridiculously silly. I don't have to agree with someone on everything to acknowledge that they are right about a particular thing.

@AmericanTorah Yes, obviously verse 20 was not meant to be comprehensive. It was the minimum starting point for fellowship, with the expectation that they would grow in their observance as they heard the Law of Moses proclaimed every Sabbath in the synagogue (v. 21).

The reality of the Second Coming and God's final judgment are not matters to be taken lightly. Don't be like the scoffer who continues in sin and deludes himself into thinking there will be no consequences. Recognize that you are accountable to God for what you do. As the apostle Peter puts it, "Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives" (2 Peter 3:11-12).

Scripture says that the key to happiness and fulfillment in this life is to pour yourself out for others: "If you pour yourself out for the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then shall your light rise in the darkness and your gloom be as the noonday" (Isaiah 58:10). How often do you look to others' interests instead of just your own? How often are you willing to sacrifice your time, energy, or finances to serve someone else who may be in need? Give it a try. It might make you feel happier.

@LilaGraceRose They are all—without exception—unnecessary and contribute nothing to the plot. It’s extremely easy to just imply that characters engaged in it. There is no need to make everyone in the audience uncomfortable for several minutes.

@awretchlikeme95 Yes, the antisemites on X are literally the dumbest people in the universe. Without exception, every single one of them is very, very stupid.
