Humbled by the response to my book about the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh:
“A brilliant read, and so cleverly constructed… David Videcette has created a wonderful book that is crying out to be turned into a true crime programme.”

This is the moment The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem was closed due to Coronavirus.
Last time this happened was in 1349, during The Black Death, a bubonic plague pandemic.
What’s fascinating about this story is the guy with the keys.
Can anyone explain how a virus (identified in Wuhan in Dec 2019) spread to the Canadian prime minsters wife, one of Hollywood’s top actors & his wife, a Premier League football manager, and a British member of parliament - within 16 weeks - while bypassing the majority of us?
We don’t often hear stories in the media about Muslims keeping the peace among the rival Christians, and this story is surprisingly absent in today’s news I think.
It’s probably far from many people’s minds, especially as everyone is glued to the football. But don’t forget tomorrow is the 19th anniversary of the worst day of many peoples lives
Thinking of those who went out to work and never went home. Never forget what they did, never
And this is the fascinating part.
Since the seventh century, a Sunni Muslim family has held the keys of the Church. And this remains the case even today, in the hope of avoiding clashes among rival Christian sects for control over the church.
If you see a police officer struggling in the street with someone and they are outnumbered, stop and offer your help and assistance, please. It will be greatly appreciated.
It’s just a mask, it’s just a lateral flow test, it’s just a PCR test, it’s just another booster jab, it’s just not going on holiday, it’s just not seeing your family, it’s just staying at home for a while…
It’s just my life, and not theirs to keep telling me what to do
Stark news this morning.
Saturn’s rings are disappearing faster than anyone thought.
Instead of totally disappearing in 300 million years, the rings actually have less than 100 million years to live.
That’s 30 million generations from now...
I pity my 30 millionth ancestor.
ISIS killed 5,356 civilians, enslaved nearly 4000, and spawned a wave of terror like no other group on the planet.
With complete premeditation, you supported this, gave the men of this group your body & soul so that they could go on killing.
My sympathy is with your victims.
"I think a lot of people should have sympathy towards me for everything I have been through."
In an interview with Sky News, Shamima Begum says she hopes for the sake of her child she'll be allowed to return to the UK.

The church is in the Christian Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. Within its complex it is said to contain the two holiest sites in Christianity; the site where Jesus was crucified, and the empty tomb, where he is said to have been buried and then resurrected.
Incredible video.
Tass news agency claims a fire in a storage unit for artillery charges has caused a series of explosion near the city of Achinsk.
Shock waves are normally invisible but the cloud cover has captured its movement.
Disputes continue even in recent times. In 2002, a Coptic monk moved his chair from its agreed spot into the shade. This was interpreted as a hostile move by the Ethiopian Christians and eleven people were hospitalised.
Conservative MPs must make a stand against the tyrannical powers that stripped people of their freedoms and are in the process of destroying businesses. This isn’t a game. You will never be forgiven.
Is this what the beginning of the end of the world looks like, or is it the beginning of planet of the apes?
Hundreds of monkeys go on the rampage in Thailand after the tourists who normally feed them stay away due to coronavirus
The various entities coexist, just about, in the complex under arrangements put in place by the Ottomans, which preserves a status quo of coexistence and sharing.
Clearly the locking up of the church and who holds the keys in order to do that is a big thing then?
The site, which has existed in one form or another since the 4th century, is occupied by a number of rival Christian denominations. These denominations often don’t agree with each other and conflict has been a recurring feature among them during its history.
Deer in the Japanese city of Nara have been rampaging through the streets in search of food as tourist numbers dwindle because of coronavirus.
The deer are normally fed by visitors who would buy rice crackers from local vendors in the parks.
In another incident in 2004, during Orthodox celebrations of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, a door to the Franciscan chapel was left open. This was taken as a sign of disrespect by the Orthodox and a fistfight broke out.
The minimum 55 year term (minus the 2 years he’s already spent on remand) will make Hashem Abedi 75 years old before he is eligible for parole. It’s the longest sentence I’ve ever heard of... and it’s justly deserved.
If you’re really nerdy, like me, you’ll want to completely pull the lies apart:
The burning UK flag is cut from an image taken at a demonstration in 2016 outside the British Embassy in Buenos Aires, it’s been reversed and then photoshopped onto the EU protest in London.
Fabulous photo of Greenwich Park.
Canary Wharf in the background and Sir Christopher Wren’s iconic Royal Hospital for Seamen in the middle.
The hospital occupies the site where Greenwich Palace once stood, the birthplace of King Henry VIII & his two daughters.
This is the point I’m trying to make about the subtle use of language on the news this morning, it’s subtly ldesigned to claim Israel is the aggressor
BBC live - the news reader has spent the entire morning calling Hamas a ‘militant group’
The only time the word ‘terror’ is
Good job.
A moped thug getting his just deserts from members of the public yesterday in Marylebone after trying to grab a woman’s necklace.
Passers by helped detain him before police arrived.
He’ll not be doing that again for a while...
To all those telling me the assassination of the Prime Minister would have been a good thing: You need to have a sit down, give yourself a talking to. However much you dislike someone, wishing them dead is strange behaviour, and siding with Islamic terrorists makes you deranged.
A surgeon has pleaded guilty to assault after he 'tagged' his initials on the livers of the patients he was operating on. He burned them on with a tool designed to stop bleeding. An act of graffiti inside someone’s body while they are under anesthetic.
On balance, isn’t it fair to assume this virus much more widespread in the population of the world than any of us have actually realised, and perhaps, it didn’t even start in Wuhan?
Lots of childish noise from Labour benches on the deportation of foreign prisoners.
The law used is ‘UK Border Act 2007’.
A quick look at the people who voted for it in 2007 (Corbyn, Lammy & most of those moaning now) shows their childish hypocrisy.
All Kier Starmer needed to say today was:
“I’ve done nothing wrong, and I’m confident the police will find that to be the case. I don’t wish to impede or influence the police in their investigation and will make no further comment on it until the police have finished.”
Love how everyone is getting bent out of shape because Guy Verhofstadt is claiming we need an EU empire...
It's not new, he's been saying this since 2015, well before the referendum.
What's alarming is he's saying it at a Lib Dem Conference, and being loudly cheered for it.
I don’t know the answer, but...
If the ‘six degrees of separation’ is right, and many say it is (the idea that all people are six, or fewer, connections away from everyone else in the world) - also known as the 6 Handshakes rule.
Doesn’t that mean we’ve had it/got it?
Kier Starmer’s attempting to put pressure on Durham Constabulary by threatening to resign if they send him an FPN
He could wait and see what they say at the completion of their investigation. Instead, he’s going to heap pressure on the Chief Constable & the Labour PCC
Nearly 65% of the 4200 missiles Germany pledged to send to Ukraine to help them in their war were declared obsolete in 2014 - they are at least 35 years old and are unsafe.
The Union Jack’s in Regent Street are really triggering a certain section of Twitter aren’t they?
They do know we’ve done this before, in 2012 too, and they all lived?
Never forget, police firearms officers brought a close to the terror attacks at London Bridge/Borough Market in 2019 and the Westminster Bridge/Parliament attack in 2017
The case of Emad al Swealmeen, the Liverpool bomber who accidentally blew himself up in a taxi after being repeatedly refused asylum here in the UK, should be a glaring example of why we need to be much, much tougher on illegal immigration.
Rather amusing watching Labour & Lib Dem’s screaming, “We need Johnson gone so trust in politics can be restored”
It’s like they think the electorate’s forgotten they spent three years lying through their teeth about their intentions on Brexit, which is why Johnson was elected
Oh dear, or dear...
The standard goes further than the allegation of biting an officer. They claim Abbott's son spat at police officers too, the very thing Abbot wanted officers to continue to endure by refusing them spit hoods.
Awful.
I’ve seen this video doing the rounds these past few days…
Few realise you can be strong without being tough. Watch the way this guy deals with being called ‘Harry Potter’
It’s a slur, but he laughs it off, and there’s no where the offending party can go with it.
This guy
I’ve lost all confidence in the government. I know this isn’t easy. But I feel they waited to make this announcement today specifically because parliament went into recess on Thursday, just like they did on the first lockdown, so that they could avoid parliamentary scrutiny.
Remember getting my first text message, and not understanding point of them - why wouldn’t you just call? Then, within a few years, that’s all most people did, they hardly ever called, and still don’t...
Good lord, this story gets worse...
Diane Abbott, the shadow home secretary, tried to prevent The Telegraph publishing details of a court hearing at which her son was accused of assaulting a police officer.
Courts are public places, anyone can watch!
A wise man once said, “Assume nothing. Believe nobody. Check everything.”
And that’s especially the case on Twitter in these partisan times - nothing is quite as it seems.
My tweets on Qasem Soleimani led to a fair amount of abuse here, and I’ve been blocked by surprising people...
So be it.
The vast majority had never heard of Soleimani before last night, though he appeared on sanctions lists to combat terrorism/human rights abuses for years.
The emergency law created to stop the early release of terrorists from prison has now cleared all its parliamentary hurdles.
It is now due to get Royal Assent by Friday, when the next terror offender was due to be freed under the current legislation.
That there are police officers, some at senior levels, still trying to defend the unlawful issuing of fixed penalty notices to people who had’t even broken the law in Derbyshire, is rather telling.
I’ve refused a number of media interviews today about yesterday’s mosque stabbing. They want the talking point to be about the far-right.
As I explained to those who called, the indications are, another muslim carried out the stabbing attack, not the far-right.
If Australians had grown up trying to wipe their arses with this stuff, they’d not be panicking right now. In the 1970s this trained us that you could wipe with anything, because literally anything was better than what they provided for us at school...
A five month study has found absolutely no traces of coronavirus on London’s Tubes, buses or its stations.
Experts from Imperial College London have been taking AIR and SURFACE samples from journeys on London’s transport each month since October.
As a case in point, today at the Old Bailey an ISIS supporter admitted plotting to blow herself up in an attack on St Paul's Cathedral.
In an adjacent court room, the brother of the Manchester Arena bomber is accused of murdering 22 people.
Media: “Lets talk right-wing...”

Safiyya Shaikh, 36, (25.05.83), of Hayes, plotted made plans to plant an explosive device at St Paul's Cathedral.
Be warned, KHAN is using ULEZ mobile camera vans on the exit road to Heathrow’s terminal 5 (T5), catching every car that drops off or parks in the car park at T5.
Not sure how this is justified given there’s not a single sign on the approach road from the M25 to T5, but maybe

Vehicles entering the airport must meet specific emissions standards to avoid paying a daily charge.

This is several years old, 2011 to be precise, but it never gets old.
A heroic lady, armed with just her handbag, confronts sledgehammer wielding moped-thugs robbing a jewellers in Northampton.
Her distraction causes one to fall off and get caught.
Tomorrow it’ll be 15 years since four suicide bombers killed 52 people in London & injured more than 700 others as they tried to go to work on an otherwise normal Thursday morning.
Like all involved, I still think about it everyday.
My thoughts with all tomorrow.
RIP
The media now lauding Cummings as a hero & witness of truth, is the same media which, last year, was baying for his blood outside his house and calling him liar.
Laughable, but says everything you need to know about the opinion based news reporting we’ve become accustomed to.
Everyone’s talking about Matt Hancock’s clinch at his office door. We are right to expect better behaviour from those in government, especially when this behaviour breaches the rules he expects the rest of us to live by.
But I have questions about the camera used in this case.
There’s a number of people who are happy to be locked up in their houses, and if that’s you, then fine, you get on with it.
But, I don’t agree with it. If capacity is the problem in the NHS, then deal with the capacity problem, stop telling people they can’t live their lives.
This shows the impact police can have on crime when they act robustly.
Nearly 11,000 fewer victims in comparison to last year; brilliant result by

It’s really this simple:
Anyone voting for Theresa May to stay, is voting to put a Labour government run by Corbyn, McDonnell and Abbott in power by 2022 or much sooner.
So, this new scariant, the one known about for five months, is the reason every traveler now has to quarantine when they enter UK again for, and why we’ve got to wear masks in shops again?
Forgive me, but that’s about as scientific as the scotch-egg-curfew nonsense last year
Oh god. That scientist who told us we needed to stay locked up for the rest of our lives for our own safety, was literally in bed with an activist who campaigns to ban fossil fuels.
I have to say, I am totally sick and tired of those of you who label our government and it’s ministers as ‘far right’.
It is absolute rubbish. If you try to label me as ‘far right’ or ‘racist’ because I don’t agree with you, you will find yourself blocked.
I’m surprised at those encouraging or condoning acts of violence against their political opponents.
“It’s just a milkshake...”
“It’s a bit of fun, he’s a faccist...”
It’s assault.
It’s illegal.
It’s imprisonable.
And
It’s simply not acceptable.
The panic buying of fuel from petrol stations is insane. The consequences of this emotive rush to secure some, just to hord it and prevent others from having it, will drive up prices and take essential supplies out of the hands of those who need it most. Stop being selfish.
Hey
@LushLtd
- I’m a former police officer, my father was a police officer, our family is full of former and serving police officers - you’ve called us all liars. I can safely say none of us will ever shop with you ever again.
I can hear the screeching of some already:
“Boris literally rose from the dead on Easter Sunday like Jesus, and it’s all a publicity stunt.”
I say this to those of you who claim this:
“Fuck off.”
There are many saying how good the German data in this virus look.
In 2014, a motoring engineer from Michigan checked some published data on two Germans, a Passat and a Jetta, and found them to be 15 to 35 times higher than claimed.
We need to wait to make comparisons.
Tiblisi, Georgia:
Woman stabs a three year old child in the face as he walked with his parents.
Both parents are so shocked they take what seems like an eternity to act on the threat.
Moving everyone away safely is the most important thing here.
Today, 22 years ago, the world really did change forever.
We all remember where we were, who we were with, what we were thinking, and the conversations around us as the events unfolded before our eyes. It’s what’s known as a flashbulb memory in psychology. Flashbulb memories
Do not go anywhere near Victoria embankment as some Albanians have blocked the road in both directions in celebration of their Independence Day. There’s not a single police officer in sight.
All joking aside, and regardless of the verdict today, I’d still rather have Boris Johnson running the country than Corbyn or Swinson. I know I’m not alone in thinking that they’d utterly destroy our country.
“Hard to believe when you look at such a beautiful beach, but 75 years ago it was hell on Earth... stench of burning flesh and body parts floating past. The sea was red. At one point the landing craft’s door was blocked by a dead body stuck in the hinges and we had to remove it.”
