Vážení a milí, Mám smutnou radost oznámit, že dnes, tedy na první výročí, vychází Antologie 21/12/23, jež přináší texty vztahující se k loňské vražedné střelbě na FF UK. Je věnována světlé památce čtrnácti obětí a snad bude posilou i pětadvaceti zraněným a vůbec nám všem tragédií tak či onak zasaženým. Antologie je volně stáhnutelná z webových stránek Filozofické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy, jakož i webových stránek vlastních (odkazy níže). Při této příležitosti se samozřejmě sluší poděkovat: především Tomáši Hercíkovi za vytrvalost při spoluredakci a @LouisArmxnd za úchvatnou grafickou úpravu. Dále děkujeme všem 28 přispěvatelům--za každou ze čtrnácti obětí se nám tu tak sešli dva hlasy. Rok se s rokem sešel, jeden vesmírný koloběh se uzavřel, opět na nás padá nejdelší noc, letos ještě temnější o prázdnotu, v níž nám po té loňské chybí čtrnáct drahých kolegyň a kolegů, přítelkyň a přátel, dcer a synů. Cesta za světlem se opět zdá nekonečně dlouhá. V nastalé „temnotě našich dnů“ nejde této antologii o nic jiného než v nás nechat hořet onen „oheň, který nezhasíná.“ ----- Dear friends, I have the bittersweet honor of announcing that today, on the first anniversary, the 21/12/23 Anthology is being published, bringing together texts related to last year’s tragic shooting at the Faculty of Arts at Charles University. It is dedicated to the cherished memory of the fourteen victims and aims to offer support to the twenty-five injured and to all of us affected by the tragedy in one way or another. The anthology is available for free download on the website of the Faculty of Arts at Charles University, as well as on its own dedicated website (links in the comments). On this occasion, it is, of course, appropriate to express gratitude: first and foremost to Tomáš Hercík for his perseverance in the co-editing process, and to @LouisArmxnd for the stunning graphic design. We also thank all 28 contributors – for each of the fourteen victims, two voices are gathered here. As the year comes full circle, one cosmic cycle ends, and the longest night once again falls upon us – this year even darker for the absence of fourteen beloved colleagues, friends, daughters, and sons. The journey toward light once again feels endlessly long. In this “darkness of our days,” this anthology aspires to do nothing less than keep alive within us the “fire that never dies.”

Existence is Resistance spotted this morning ahead of its launch tonight at Дім Звуку / РадіоГараж (House of Sound / Radio Garage) at a breakfast of champions at Lviv’s Kooperativa Moloko… The word “samizdat” appropriates the Soviet expression for “self-publishing,” used in the past to refer to the underground production of prohibited or regime-critical texts. Today, “samizdat” continues to be a form of resistance-by-existence: literally “self” publishing – assertions of “being” through private & public actions, zine-making, broadcasting, performance, graffiti & other ephemeral, site-specific means. In the face of war, genocide & other existential forms of oppression, the refusal to be “erased” may represent the ultimate act of resistance, in the awareness that NOTHING ELSE NEED BE EXPECTED OF IT. In this, it radicalises the old idea of aesthetic autonomy, the liberty of those who – even by a momentary act – do not vanish.
