Probably the F-35 depending on the interception range. The Su-57 is not particularly stealthy, despite claims & shows a large cross section on radar (RCS). Russian fighters are physically large compared to @NATO aircraft & have very noisy engines, as they go for speed & range.

Excellent news. The Gipen is one of the best advanced multlrole aircraft available and is comparable to the F-35. It's almost as stealthy with it's E/W package and has a superior weapons package capability. These include Storm Shadow, Taurus, Meteor, IRIS-T, and AIM-120 AMRAAM.
Ukraine is engaged again in talks with Sweden to receive Gripen fighter jets. Sweden had already begun training Ukrainian pilots in 2023 but things went silent for undisclosed reasons about a year ago. But in late 2024 Sweden funded delivery of about a squadron worth of planes.

Ukraine needs more Patriot & SAMP-T air defence systems. Both have the capability of shooting down aircraft that launch glide bombs, Particularly the SAMP-T, which has a longer range. It's possible to shoot down glide bombs directly only with very advanced air defence systems.

Great news! Has considerable advantages over their existing Russian jets. Weapons capability: SCALP, Skyflash air-to-air, Apache Anti-runway, Armat Anti-Radar & Rocket Launchers for ground attack. Also very agile in the air with its delta wing for air-to-air action & ITAR-Free.
Ukraine has received its first three Mirage 2000-5F. Three more Mirage 2000-5F are expected.

I have a degree in physics and my background is in Aviation and Defence. Nuclear is very effective, but history shows it costs more than budgeted & we will pay the extra costs. Labour's claim that it will provide millions of local jobs. Not true, specialised people are needed.
We were once a world pioneer in new nuclear - and we can be again. More jobs, cheaper energy, and more pounds in your pocket. That's the difference a Labour government makes.
