Behind Reece Davis, Deshler didn't have trouble handling Cordova in the Class 4A Northwest Regional semifinals. And, of course, it now sets up a matchup with a very familiar foe. “I’ve been ready to play this game since last year.”

And ... that's finally the game. Deshler 63, Cordova 23. Reece Davis finished with 23 points and 11 rebounds. Kloie Nelson added 15 points and Kacie Nelson 12. Tigers will face Good Hope on Tuesday for the 4A Northwest Regional title.

The matchup between Lauderdale County and Mars Hill in the 3A Northwest Regional semifinals had been a game to watch. It played out like that behind Shila Marks and Belle Hill. But it was Marks' team that won. “Big-time players make big-time plays.”

That's the game. Lauderdale County 65, Mars Hill 59. The Tigers will play for the 3A Northwest Regional title. Shila Marks led Lauderdale County with 39 points. Belle Hill had 43 for the Panthers. The two essentially traded baskets in this matchup.
