Was looking to grab some dinner and thought I would try Firehouse Subs. Walk to the door and find out they were training, and opening day is Thursday. However, they invited me in and gave me a free sub. Now that's how you attract new business. And the sub was excellent.

Thank you to the police department in Sioux City, Iowa. I was caught by photo enforcement last month going 62 mph in a 50 mph zone at 12:45 a.m. Once I explained I was on my way to Sioux Falls, S.D., to be with my daughter in the hospital, they dismissed the ticket.

Why are people suddenly concerned about kids playing two games in one day? It happened that way every year for many years. Happens at every summer tournament and AAU Tournament. Suggestion: play 1A-2A 3rd place games Friday, 3A-4A Saturday.
IHSA can do away with that 3rd place game. The new schedule is a flop..girls playing back to back games…makes no sense. This is why you don’t have non basketball people making basketball decisions.
