Enjoying women’s soccer like everyone else, but wondering why no media coverage for our national volleyball teams going into finals of VNL. Girls volleyball on par with soccer in youth participation, I believe! Far less with the boys, but we’re as good as anyone in the world
The NCAA has no respect for these teams competing today. Players and coaches had less than 24 hours to recover and prepare for the biggest matches of the year. The quality of play is definitely affected. Never would happen in women’s BB.
Magical night! To make a regional is a tremendous accomplishment. Congrats to players and staff. Nebraska next, just remember 2002 when Wahine beat them in Lincoln. It CAN be done, gotta believe!
Congratulations to LBSU MVB team on their 2nd straight national championship. It was great to see such passion in the gym by all, our sport grew a lot tonight. Rainbow Warriors hold your head high, we’re proud of you.
OMG, that will go down as one of the most exciting games in UH football history. Congrats to all involved. Let’s pack the stadium next week and support our team!
He doesn’t look excited, trust me, he is! What a comeback for USA men beating Brazil in 5. Play for gold and a million bucks vs Russia tomorrow. Erik will face 2 Fakel teammates Kliuka and volkov, starting outsides. Too many heroes tonight to name anyone. Team win!
Thomas is a big reason usa is in vnl finals, him and of course Matt Anderson, and what the heck, everyone played well! This is the matchup we’ve all been waiting for, Poland in Poland
Hawaii has lost the “voice of UH” athletics, Jim Leahey. One of a kind, wonderful man, will miss him, but will think about him on every December 4th, our common birthday
My family is saddened by Colt Brennan’s passing. He brought a lot of joy to us and many others. His demons were too much to overcome, hope this resonates with all who knew him
Some college coaches voted before the results were published late Sunday, that’s the only way Washington ranked ahead of Hawaii after getting shellacked by Wahine. Ok, I’m a little biased, but really?
Had a great birthday, started by surfing, ending with delicious meal at chefchai with in-laws Miki and Scott Bridgman. Thanks to all who reached out to me today. I am truly blessed to have wonderful wife, kids, grandkids, friends and family.
At a local lunch wagon this noon, I asked the lady cook if she served brown rice, she replied, after I pour brown gravy over the white rice you goin have brown rice, tipped her well!
Wahine came out a little tight, but rolled in games 3 and 4. San Diego looked really good in beating wash st. It will be a battle tomorrow night, c’mon Hawaii, let’s sell it out. Great to see Jolie on the court!
Wow, San Diego showed grit coming from down 1-2 AT Stanford to get to Final Four. They COULD win it all. Also, COULD be the first year a woman’s team wins National Championship. Stay tuned!
Left warsaw with respect for the city’s beauty, friendly people, great public transportation, good restaurants, culture, AND cars stop for pedestrians in crosswalks!!
After beating UCLA 3-0, I hope the voters in avca poll take note of Wahine 9-0 start! Next weeks road trip will show how good UH really is, face Missouri and Baylor, both undefeated.
Mary and I attended the musical Allegiance, based on true story about internment of Japanese American citizens in WW2. My mother and father met and married in camp, then he volunteered for the 442nd and fought in Europe. Very moving play, see it if you can!
@Hawaii
Theater
Did a lot of walking and taking in the sights of Katowice, even went to a cool museum. Friendly, safe city, and no one jaywalks, and cars actually stop when you’re waiting at a crosswalk
Wait, am I reading this correctly? Nebraska plays Oregon at 6am Hawaiian time which is 10am there? I know TV rules, but this is 5am wake up and 6 am breakfast. Absurd NCAA
Ok, 6-0 start for Wahine. System firmly in place, love the way robyn is mixing in some back and front row subs. Tougher week coming up, headed by UCLA. Stay tuned!
Just heard that Dick Tomey has passed away. Very sad day for Warrior Nation, he turned the program in his day and was an inspiration to me as well as other coaches. Rest In Peace, my man!
Great win in 5 against a very good USD team. Pin hitters looked good, Rasmussen is the real deal and love her range, game and energy! No letdown tomorrow!
