One of those reasons you stay at the airport even when it’s dead. Was ready to leave an hour before this came in, then the next hour we get 4 aircraft landing. One being this brand new KC-130J on delivery to GAF.

Well that was a fun & busy weekend, weather could have been better. At least it didn't rain today. Here are a few of the Typhoons taxiing to take off out west this morning.

One of my "White Whales" was finally marked off, not sure why units paint these planes up all nice and don't fly them to every air show locally. Wasn't at BAF or PSM last year... Some speeds limits might have been broken to capture this photo.

Caught this Beluga stopping through to clear customs and take on fuel. The female pilot put it down so smoothly in 32 mph winds. Majorly impressed!

I'm sure glad they didn't leave when they were supposed to. The 2nd of 6 P-8's ROK is getting, this was on a training mission out of NAS Jacksonville.

These 4 U-28's from the 13th SOS was only supposed to be a gas and go, but after landing in 30+ mph winds, they decided to RON and play it safe.

Practice day at the 2007 Rhode Island air show. Just as the Blues took the runway, a storm cell came through with a downpour. 20 mins later the Blues took off in the soaked air and vapor was pouring off

Here's a few more of the Italian Typhoons departing for McChord last weekend. All 6 took off and came around to meet the tankers
Huge shout out to the pilots for waving to Paparazzi Row with the speed brakes.

. Crap weather with rain & drizzle, if they were just 10 mins early when there was a break in the rain...

Every other fall usually we're get Pavehawk's and A-10's that work out of here and do mock "man down" rescues up in the White Mountains.

Not 1, not 2, but 3 AC-130's passed through PSM last week. One had a wheel pressure issue and couldn't get the right equipment in time for me to catch its departure.

Back in 08 had VMFA-122 come through to head over seas to the desert. First group banked left over the city at 6am which is never done. People called the airport to bitch, who sits in their bed and complains about our M&W going to war?
Still pisses me off

Love when you take a "mental health" day at the airport and it's busy. Missed the T-38 Talon that came in yesterday, but 4 local 46's, Italian G550, Marine C-40, Navy C-130T & an Ocean Sentry made it a good day.
Forgot I hadn't even edited the Italians coming back through

last week. Of course the clouds rolled in for everything and just started to lift once the Herc came in to finish them up.

Back in my simming days, one of the guys in our group was a pilot for the Mainiacs. He had me come up and was able to get some ramp shots. Still flying the E models back in 2006.

The burial ceremony was yesterday for Capt Jack Casey, Marine Pilot who perished in a CH-53E crash in CA a few weeks back. He was local resident going to my oldest sons HS, St Thomas Aquinas in Dover NH.
The flew up 4 CH-53's, 2 from New River, 1 from Miramar & a K from El Centro
Miss some of the demo's that have gone away like the Strike Eagle. This was from 07 at NAS Brunswick Maine. While performing the photo pass, he struck an osprey (bird) and had to declare an IFE. Ed Shipley was up in his F-86 and check out the damage and had the 15 land safely.
Love when there's snow on the ground as it acts as a great light reflector lighting up the bellies. Sadly we haven't had any snow the last 2 years.

and showed up at once to play in the pattern. Then had a CT Herc & Jayhawk but I was back at work.
My poor wife, she didn’t see me carry my camera into my truck as we made some errands into Portsmouth. Just happens to be where the airport is and I always drive through. Ended up catching a few planes while sitting there for a few hours after we did our stuff
This storm was unreal, instead of driving north for 2 hours just to see a kp5. I drove 20 mins to the seacoast. These are just iPhone shots from a kp9! The last shot is looking straight above me 🤯

in the afternoon leave little spots to shoot from. Italians launch their 6 F-35's, and they did a loose overhead, then came back around tighter after the tankers launched.
These 2 Hawkeyes came up as GRIFFIN21 & 22, then departed as GULL to go work around Bath Iron Works. Assuming working with a new radar up there?

These go back to 07, if you can ever befriend the person in charge of the ramp do it. My friend called me up and had me jump in the back of the follow me truck when these Tornado's came in. Was unreal.
