The legendary Ben Hendry on guitar. One of the original 1960’s Kopites - penning / singing songs along with the Lloyd brothers. Ben featured in an LFC TV docu about the history of our songs. Made up they captured his story before he passed away ❤️🙏👍

That photo was taken after BBC came to St Kev’s looking to cast 2 lads for Willy Russell’s first ever BBC tv drama called: “Death of a young young man”. They both got the job 👍 It was fated for Drew cos Alan Bleasdale watched it and decided Drew would make a great “Scully” 👍

That's Tower Hill (Not Beirut). At the very end of the vid (1:52) the fella on the right is Franny Tommo. I mention him in the book (Those were the days my friend) he was a hero when we had a bad time in the Gallowgate at Newcastle one night. Great lad no longer with us.

Arthur Dooley was an amazing character & creative visionary. His foresight for Albert Dock was almost psychic. This film was shot 10 years before redevelopment began. His words are practically telepathic - even mentions a maritime museum (start at 2:46)
