This post was scheduled in December 2024 I wanna experiment with starting a personal brand, gonna call my shot Pros: - Will meet new interesting people - Will build an audience of likeminded people - Will help with recruiting Cons: - Will probably have to be a lot more "show off'y", and "loud" to actually grow Now that con is a pretty big one for me, but at this point I think the pros outweigh the cons, lets see how this goes

I feel like I have a bunch of skills at a shallow level But I don’t have my 1 thing that I’m super deep on I think the same is true with a lot of business people right now

The people you truly compare yourselves to, are often the ones you feel a bit of envy for when they do well

I think it’s important to say, I am nowhere near the top of my industry... Often when we see posts of people talking about their successes we think very highly of them. But relative to their competitors they are dwarfed. I'd say I'm ~mid level in my industry, I have lots of peers doing better than me, just in silence

Good question, it’s usually around this: 6:00-7:30: workout and shower 7:30-~2:00 record YouTube videos 2:00-3:00 eat 3:00-6:30 work on other stuff or do random stuff 6:30-7:00 eat 7:00-9 come up with videos ideas or work on other stuff That’s on the days I record, on the days I don’t replace record with work on other stuff or do random stuff

Currently my process goes: Idea -> gameplay -> edit I don’t really use scripts anymore, but back when I used to do fancy higher production Minecraft videos it would go: Idea -> script -> setup builds -> setup other technical stuff -> gameplay -> edit I record voicelines and all that while playing the game with all the other actors

Pick a business to get good at Then get good at it. Do all the boring / painful work, that is often where a lot of value is created There is 2 types of “failing” 1. Your initial idea didn’t work, so you’re abandoning it and pivoting 2. Giving up and just stopping everything Just avoid the second one
