You can still do the latter without killing characters. It's actually why I wished we got a natural disaster arc. Or, hell more extend the shelter scenes. People only look at the fights, which I get it's Shonen. But at least acknowledge the other stuff.

That first seen is a gag, so that doesn't count, especially with the pages that come before. The second pic has Mei touching him (without his consent mind you), so of course, he would be weirded out, but that doesn't mean he's not into girls.

No this is more about Eri having to believe in Midoriya. The next pages sument this with Kota, Denki and Momo, Nagant, and a random civilian. Nothing to do with Bakugou besides him standing in the shot.
