Be weary of people who run playbooks. People will jump from startup to startup trying to run the same GTM playbooks. Listen to your customers, and find the “thing” within your community. In short, build a process that allows you to experiment and get feedback quickly. This will help you find the right formula. Running a playbook is highly likely to waste time and money.

Email/call and ask to talk to them. Don’t try to sell anything, strictly set up communication to learn about them and how they are using your product. Air BnB founder has a good story about this. He went to NYC early on and started knocking on the doors of hosts to meet them, and even took pictures for their listings. Don’t think about scalability or money, just make connections.
