@FriedrichFiles @skdh According to their predictions in the report (STEPS), 37Gt current energy related CO2 production will be at 29Gt in year 2050. So my rough estimate of 500 ppm around 2050 sounds even more likely now.

@FriedrichFiles @skdh Which report? I don't see anything positive on their page. And they have 2.9°C as the worst projection and according to latest UN's Emissions Gap Report it's likely 3.1°C.

@FriedrichFiles @skdh From Climate Defiance post "under current policies, global emissions will reach 57Gt by the end of this decade. That's above the current level...." We are currently close to 3 ppm/y and it's worse and worse. Projection is meaningless if it's not supported by significant changes.
