This book is an astonishing piece of work by Dan Machiela at Notre Dame. More than a "Handbook," it's a seminal reference work, researched with meticulous precision. I am enjoying quite an education from Dr. Machiela. And, its OpenAccess.

I just learned about this new book by Prof. Najman (Oxford). She makes me think, challenges presuppositions, pushes at boundaries, and REALLY knows her material. This book is Open Access.

@jasonstaples I just dialogued with the author a bit and this does indeed look to make some serious headway in the field. It’s at the top of my Amazon wishlist for sure. Definitely a must read.

Do I need another Scripture index to Philo? Then I a review of this volume by Ron Cox (RBL), describing it in detail. "Simply put," Cox concludes, "The Philo of Alexandria Scripture Index is a boon to Philo scholars, and we owe a debt of gratitude to Adams and Domoney-Lyttle."
