@davehall1289 It felt like an overpayment, but they also cleared over $4m of cap this season AND next for a prospect who's talented but flawed and a long shot. Rather Fernstrom than, say, Paterson IMO. But a steep price for a 28 yr old D they're inevitably going to overpay

@SatiarShah I think it looks like a playoff bubble team. But a playoff bubble team with a couple of readonably high end prospects to add and a decent amount of cap space heading into next season

@mattsekeres You have to count the 1st round pick on both sides of the trade (especially because if you only show it going out it looks terrible for the Canucks)
