Don't be fooled...this was their excuse to purge the government of conservatives and republicans, which they replaced with democrat operatives and activists. They never reduced the size and scope of government...in fact government grew under both the Clinton and Obama administrations. They made it nearly impossible to fire government employees. It was a power grab....and that is what Trump is doing, What is good for the goose is good for the gander. And that is why democrats are terrified of...losing their power grip on the deep state.
