When I was at BuzzFeed News I pitched & wrote a story just to talk to Donald Shoup. I kind of didn’t think he’d talk to me. But not only did he talk, he was exceedingly gracious—and continued to be when I occasionally emailed him later. A brilliant guy, who was also a good guy
Farewell to our friend Donald Shoup, the guru who showed how parking can make and break a city. He was decades ahead of his time and we're still trying to catch up with him. The legacy of his life and his times will never expire.
