Rhaenyra's mild outburst at Elinda last episode, her slapping Bartimos in anger in front of everyone, and even comparing herself to Daemon. Her anger and want for control is growing and growing. Like come on guys we are getting the book Rhaenyra arc just have some patience.

Btw everybody, events like this could've easily have happened in book canon. It's a history book and these physically violent situations of course would happen in private. It isn't Ryan Condal's fault GRRM wrote him as a pretty evil character and then pulled out the 50/50 thing.

One more problem I have is that I don't understand why we can never see the characters reactions after big events like B&C or Rook's Rest. Every major event has some weird jump where everybody just already knows. It worked in the past some but it's getting old for me.

Burning Mill was so good. The cutaway had me gasping even though I fully expected it. The level of escalation and complete destruction is insane. I appreciate that the battle is the inciting incident of the whole episode and it's themes without us actually seeing it.

Tbh I think it's nice for once they let the galaxy expand instead of just going back to something we had seen before. Also Naboo being the Emperor's homeworld as well I'd argue changes things a decent bit if it was now Alderaan. Just makes the galaxy smaller.

The story of the pilot revolved around the wedding between a Stark Princess and a Casterly. The Stark Princess may have had magical greenseer-like abilities. During the bedding ceremony a comet would fall from the sky giving us our Blood Moon and setting up the events to come.

The story point being thatthe black indigenous people of Westeros were cursed turning them into the Children of the Forest. While the rich noble families were all white. It said that the Children acted quite…barbaric and even had a very tree-like language.

GRRM in a interview spoke on the prequel. He seemed quite deattached from the production seeming to have very little story involvement. The only direct involvement he speaks of is fighting with HBO on the title with him wanting to title it "The Long Night" instead of Bloodmoon.

Naomie Watts starred as the main character but we don't know who she was playing. Like a Casterly or someone tied to Casterlys. Some predicted she may play a genderbent version of Lann the Clever. Perhaps even his mother.

This was the only diversity on the show during it's production. Though the show had said it would go to the east whether they hadn't taken effect in the pilot or not there were seemingly no castings for it. The rest of the cast was all white. You can see the very blatant problem.

Overall Bloodmoon was very much a show on it's own. No real source material or involvement from GRRM. Just taking pieces of lore and trying to make a narrative from it. The production seemed to be very messy and problematic liberities taken as we see with the Children.

It's fun that Orwyle backed Alicent as regent. He is someone who is just in for the medicine and clearly very good at it just look at Viserys and Aegon in his care. But he likes stability so it makes sense he'd back her or maybe he thinks Alicent is his friend after one convo.

When Criston Cole beats Arryk Cargyll in their short duel he is clearly overwhelmed with the thrill. He absolutely loves getting a little taste of real combat again. Criston is among the people that have been waiting for the Dance to happen.

I think it would be interesting if we see Heleana go on a spiritual journey post B&C. Rather than just normal grief like F&B suggests we see her go through all these visions and tap into that magic. Perhaps her grief and fall into prophecy more and more slowly destroys her mind.

Hugh being Saera's son and the payoff of him claiming Vermithor might be my favorite lore connection the show has ever done. A insane payoff to Jaehaerys and Saera's relationship and gives depth behind Hugh trying to forge his way in the world.

Best episode of HOTD. The acting and dialogue was next level. All the characters are breaking down and it's so damn raw. The performances are among the best we've ever gotten in this franchise which is really saying.
