This show far exceeded my expectations. 5 episodes out already and I’m hooked.

If you want to succeed with Mai, abuse her sHP and OD fireball (often times together). Those two moves are so insane.

My opinion on Mai: great basic design made to appeal to the general audience. However, I don't think she's the character for me. The lack of links from her mediums and heavies = uninteresting and repetitive combo structure. Elena waiting room 🫡

@DogMachine3 Because you're chaining the jabs, not linking them. If you tried to do the string as a link, there would be a gap.

Mai SAI and SAII combos when she has fire stocks 1) Mai can link SAI after a fire stock DP+MK in specific juggles 2) If you don't have enough drive for the OD divekick in the second combo, you can land from jMP and link into SAII

@Breadstixhehe @InfernoOmni It's both. The momentum you get from a drive rush and the lack of pushback on her crLP allows her to do this. Only a few characters have this (Off the top of my head, Ed and Kimberly can do it as well).

Mai can get her sLK TC after two crLPs from a drive rush and it gives her a +42 knockdown. You can opt for either safe jump oki or charged MP FB oki.
