It was sometime in early 2023 that I realized Silvergate, the business I poured my life into for 13 years was going to die

Watch @AtlanticCouncil discussion with NYFed governor Christopher Waller last week - “wholeseale CBDC” is now a “tokenized reserve deposit” - just got a new name 🤣 Honestly, as long as legislation ensures tokenized central bank reserves stay out of the hands of consumers, it’s a positive step imo Banks will need to build digital asset infra that Bitcoin will ultimately ride

Yep, look at last week’s conversation with @AtlanticCouncil and NYFed governor Christopher Waller Fed is exploring “tokenized reserve deposits” as part of BIS project Agora - read that as tokenized master accounts - it’s the ultimate interbank stablecoin If this happens, banks will all end up needing basic “digital asset” infra
